I literally love dancing. I am so pissed that I allowed those bitches to make me quit when I was younger, and that I didn’t get right back to it as soon as I had a chance. Today’s class was great, full reel, slip jig lead round and treble jig, and we did a group dance to christmas music, which was fairly random
On the lookout for a dress for the show next term, only one guy and I are doing trebles and he has full costume so I can’t just be boring! :-)
Just reading over my entire tumblr history, which is fairly amusing, I thought that since I shared all the stuff about getting the implant with everyone on here that I should probably mention that I decided to have it removed about 2 months ago.
It was grand to begin with but got very unpredictable in many ways, and I just got fucked off with it. So nip tuck snip snap I got it out and went back on the pill. As much as they’d like to convince you they have Long Term Reversible Contraceptives worked out girls, i’m afraid the pill is still the most reliable in terms of its side effects. I did go on a different pill though, yasmin, which I have been getting on quite well with, better skin, boob boostage and weight loss are always nice bonuses! (headaches not so much, but I can deal with the odd migraine, I get them anyway.)
So yeah, don’t want to go into toooo much detail, if anyone wants to ask anything just get in touch :-)
Skip’s new baby, Austin. Many people are having babies thesedays, seems quite the time of year for it. My housemate’s mum had a littly boy called Rufus (I’m loving the name because of Gossip Girl), my old boss at Greenhill’s wife is due any minute and my Daddy’s cousin is due early January. Not forgetting Louise’s future niece/nephew arriving in what, March or so…?! Calm down people! On the other hand, awwws :-)
Like Jen, after a long period of absence I am going to try to get back into the tumblr game…mostly for selfish reasons i’ll admit, I like reading over my old posts and am shit at keeping diaries.
Unlike Jen I don’t have anything witty or wise or cute to post…I’m trying to think of a quote of something meaningful, but everything popping into my head is either cheesy, contrived or inappropriate. And, in the words of Thumper…If you can’t say nothing nice, don’t say nothing at all.

Last year I was obsessed with this programme. As a method of procrastination today I thought hmm, i’ll just watch one episode of the new season, to see if its the same hospital and doctors and stuff. I’m now on episode 5. I don’t know what it is that makes it such compelling viewing, its graphic, repetitive and quite franky terrifying. Most of the ‘women’ giving birth are our age! Yet almost every episode makes me cry. Just seeing the looks on a woman’s face when she holds her baby…I mean i’m thinking she must want to throw it out the window after what it just did to her…but they always just sob with happiness and its like all the pain and stress is forgotten.
I don’t want to have a baby anytime soon, but I know that I will one day, and I think its better to know and see these things than go in thinking it can’t be as bad as everyone says.
Hehe, in the episode I just watched a young, quite funny polish girl was having her baby. At one point during the labour, the (gorgeous!) male midwife asked her did she have any questions and she said “why me?”. The Midwife answered “Well only you can know that…seemed like fun nine months ago!”
Didn’t really care about the Queens visit…but Barack I am properly happy about! Looks like he’s pretty happy about it too :-D
